Getting a steady supply of ice at home has always been the weak link in home bar setups. Freezer trays run out, bags from the petrol station melt before you use them, and most portable machines produce soft bullet-shaped ice that waters down a drink faster than you would like. This HOMCOM portable ice maker is built around a different approach: solid square cubes, proper 21 x 21 x 21mm, the same geometry used behind commercial bars specifically because they melt slowly and sit cleanly in a glass.
Running off a standard 240V socket with no plumbing connection required, it produces 24 cubes every 14 to 18 minutes and hits up to 20kg of ice per day from a 3.2L tank. That output is enough to run a busy home bar through an evening, keep a garden BBQ stocked from start to finish, or handle a party without anyone making an emergency shop run. The cube size is adjustable too: larger cubes for whisky, cocktails and anything where slow dilution matters; standard size for soft drinks and everyday use.
At 25.2 x 36 x 37.1 cm it fits on a worktop, a bar cart or a side table without dominating the space. You can fill the tank directly with drinking water or use a bucket-fed supply if you want to position it somewhere without easy access to a tap, which makes it equally practical for outdoor use. A drain plug on the base keeps emptying clean and quick when you are done.
The self-cleaning function runs automatically and keeps the internal components hygienic without any dismantling. The LED control panel is straightforward to use, and the clear top window lets you check on production without lifting the lid. Noise sits at a maximum of 48dB, which is closer to a quiet conversation than a kitchen appliance and will not cut across music or guests.
The stainless steel frame is built to handle regular use and the machine arrives with an ice basket and scoop included, ready to go straight from the box with no assembly needed. A practical addition to any home bar setup, and worth pairing with our home bar tables, bar stools and barware.
